The Pakistani Army opened fire on Indian posts along the Line of Control in the Saujiyan sector of Poonch district on Wednesday evening.
“Around 5:30pm, Pakistani troops opened fire on Indian posts, prompting Indian soldiers to respond in equal measure,” said an official, who did not want to named.
Fire still exchanged till reports last poured in.
Specifics of exchange could not be ascertained, as the Indian Army is yet to release a statement confirming the incident.
